Client Praise

"We have been extremely happy with all of the services we have received at The Pratt Center. Dr. Pratt was a thorough, insightful and responsive evaluator for our son, and he served as a critical connection between us and our son’s school. He was also incredibly helpful and supportive during a family crisis, going above and beyond what we expected in order to help us through it. It is hard for us to imagine what we would have done without him in that situation! We are also really happy with our son’s current clinician, Dr. Christina Walker. She is knowledgeable, kind, and maintains very good communication with us (the parents). We feel that our family is in good hands, not just in the present, but for the long-term."

"Dr. Pratt’s evaluation was a true turning point for our child, who had been having difficulty for years, but we didn't understand why until Dr. Pratt's accurate diagnosis and suggested treatment, which proved to be very effective."

"We had read many books and tried several other evaluations and treatments before without any real benefit, so it is helpful that our child is doing significantly better now. I recommend Dr. Pratt's thorough, empathetic, honest evaluation, which is based on his observation of the child in school and in his office, and also based on several objectively standardized evaluations, so that parents get an accurate picture of their child, including their strengths also. The service was absolutely great! We also appreciate the follow-on service, such as school meetings, etc. Keep up the good work."

"Dr. Pratt SAVED my son! When my son started K, it became very clear within one day that something was very wrong. He was hiding under tables, running away from teachers, being disobedient/ disrespectful, and becoming aggressive with other children (yes, he did complete preschool successfully). The school said he was emotionally disturbed, but as his mother I know that he's a wonderfully sweet and loving little boy who is terrified of school for some reason. Something was seriously wrong! Dr. Pratt's complete evaluation helped us to understand what is wrong, and how to help our son. He provided us with the information we needed to get our son the therapies he needed so he can be the adorable little boy we love - both in the home and in the outside world. Dr. Pratt also provided substantial personal help to GET an IEP, to survive the IEP, and finally to ensure that our son was provided the services he needs through the IEP. He attended all meetings, and when things were not going the way they should, he took the time to work directly with the district to help them understand WHY our son needed those services, and WHY the district needed to provide them. We ended up with exactly what Dr. Pratt suggested included in our IEP - full services! I attribute this entirely to Dr. Pratt (we sure didn't know what we were doing). Additionally, we have pursued many of the services that Dr. Pratt suggested that were NOT appropriate for the school district to provide - yes, out of pocket, and no, not provided by Dr. Pratt. Those therapies are helping our son tremendously. Our son has just finished Kindergarten yesterday and the school year was HAPPY, FUN, and APPROPRIATE for our son. Academically, he is above grade, and socially he's making HUGE progress. Your child is MORE than an education, if your child needs help, your child needs Dr. Pratt. Yes, he's not free, but I think my child's life and happiness are worth it!"
